Articles submitted by authors for publishing in Српски историјски часопис, annual journal of the Association of historians of Republika Srpska “Milorad Ekmečić“ must be original work of the author, not be published or not be under consideration for publication in any other journal. Articles may be, besides in Serbian language, written in Russian and English language. Articles will be completely anonymous to allow double-blind refereeing and it is necessary to have two positive refereeing in order to have article be published.
The journal publishes: original research articles, review articles, polemics, critics and book reviews.
It is recommended to keep the length of articles to 16 pages of written text, polemics and critics to 5 pages and book reviews to 3 pages.
Writing guidance
First name and last name of author and institution of affiliation appear at the upper left corner in format times new roman 12 pt, single spaced.
Title appears in format times new roman 12 pt, capital letters, bold, centered, 1.5 space.
Abstract appears in format times new roman 11 pt, single spaced. It should not exceed 150 words.
Key words are to be listed under abstract in format times new roman 11 pt, single spaced. Number of key words or group of words may be between 5 and 8.
Main text should be in format times new roman 12 pt, 1.5 space.
Titles and subtitles should be in format times new roman 12 pt, 1.5 space. They should not be numbered.
Summary is written in English language in the end of article if article is written in Serbian language. If article is written in Russian or English language, summary should be written in Serbian language. Summary should not have more than 300 words and it should be in format times new roman 11 pt, single spaced.
Title of article within summary should be translated in the same language in which summary is translated in format times new roman 11 pt, capital letters, bold, single spaced.
Key words should be translated in the same language in which summary is translated in format times new roman 11 pt, single spaced.
Bibliography should be listed in the end of article in accordance with Chicago Style.

Deadline for submission is 1st September for current year. The Journal is published annually.
Referencing
The first footnote includes complete reference with possibility of indication of abbreviation that will be used in further references. Ibid is to be used to refer to author and work cited in the preceding note. Footnotes are to written in format times new roman 10 pt, single spaced. Cited work is written in the original alphabet and language.
